Emma's Story
When my husband, Joe, and I had to put Tiff, our Border Collie of 12 years, to sleep on January 12, we had decided that we would not have another dog. However, curiosity got the best of me after about three weeks, and I scanned the classified ads in the newspaper and came across the East Tennessee Border Collie Rescue ad, which directed me to their web site for pictures -- and there was Emma. She reminded me so much of Tiff that each day for five days I checked the web site to see if Emma was still there. |
Joe and I talked about it and decided, out of curiosity, to call the number listed in the paper and ask some questions. On Sunday,
February 4, Karen Lively and Cathy Williams brought Emma by our house. That has been two months ago and Emma is still with us, we are happy to say. She is an adorable dog -- very sweet, loves both people and animals, and she has totally and completely captured our hearts. We would recommend that anyone wanting to replace a dog or get a companion for their present dog adopt one from a rescue group.
