Max is a handsome purebred or very close mix. He is between 2 to 3 years of age. He is a tri color with a medium coat. Max has a very strong herding drive which developed into car chasing. This resulted in his incarceration at a local shelter. If he is kept busy he has less interest in cars, but he does need a fenced yard for his safety.
Max is a little shy with strangers, but once he knows you, you will never meet a sweeter dog. He has no alpha or aggressive behavior and gets along well with his foster brothers and sisters.
Max has had no accidents in the house, but he prefers to spend most of his time outdoors. He has not been around any children while at his foster home, but would probably do better with older children. Max did nip at a vet tech while being held, but has been very well behaved at later vet visits. Max needs to have a family that will take their time and give him plenty of patience and love.

Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
